SILENT PRAYER
ASSURANCE OF PARDON
Hear the Good News! ““Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?” The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ,” (1 Cor. 15:54-57). Know that by grace through faith, you are forgiven in Jesus Christ.

Welcome to worship, friends! As Jesus met Saul (later called Paul) in a powerful light and voice on the road to Damascus, so he meets us here. It might be less dramatic, but it’s no less real.
The Flowers today are given to the Glory of God by Pat & Carolyn Robison in honor of their 45th wedding Anniversary!

This month we recognize PAST and Present members of the TECHNOLOGY MINISTRY TEAM.
Led by Elder Brian Johnson, the mission of the Technology Ministry Team is to use technology to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with others. To that end, we do this using various hardware, internet, network and other tools to send information via streaming video to outside users. Within our building and sanctuary, we use audio/visual and computer equipment to enhance the worship experience for all present. If you are interested in serving God as a member of the TECHNOLOGY MINISTRY TEAM, please see Brian Johnson or Tom Pressel.
PRAYER PERSON OF THE WEEK – PAT & HENRY HUIE
Henry was born and raised in Atlanta where he lived until graduating from Georgia Tech in 1966. Pat grew up in Birmingham and lived there prior to moving to Chattanooga. Henry started a career in sales with Westinghouse and moved to Chattanooga in 1967 as a confirmed bachelor. In 1973, he first saw Pat and was surprised when the thought that he would marry her popped into his mind. God’s will prevailed and they married in 1974. The First Presbyterian Church there, strengthened their faith and prepared them well for the adventures to come. They were blessed with four daughters, Karyn (deceased), Shelby, Emily and Rebekah. A pop-up camper provided many adventures and opportunities to visit interesting places. Faith in Christ strengthened everything they did. Work took them to Pittsburgh (twice), South Boston, VA and Cleveland, TN. Their faith journey included being founding members of an independent church, charter members of an Evangelical Free Church, and active members in three different Presbyterian denominations.
Henry’s mother started a family tradition of vacationing at Ocean Isle Beach in 1979 which
continued over the years. Little did they know that OIB would be their retirement location. In 2002, they began what was thought to be a long search for their retirement location. However, after the first stop at Ocean Isle Beach, they decided that there was no need to look further since they had found the ideal location. They built their house in 2007, and the rest is history. They soon began worshiping at CCPC, where Henry served as an Elder and teacher. He and Pat started the first Navigators class, and Pat served on several committees. We are blessed to be part of CCPC, ministering and worshiping alongside our covenant partners.
Please pray for Henry and Pat by sending them a card, email, or calling them on the phone:

RIDE THE WAVE – Your Fellowship Ministry Team is hosting a summer COMMUNITY picnic on Saturday, May 17, 2025, to our church! We will supply hot dogs, buns, condiments, and beverages. The men will be grilling – yeah! We need canopies for the day. If you have one that we can use, please contact Barbara Dresser (barbara@dresser.cc). We are asking CPs to help by providing hot dog chili, slaw, desserts, and anything else you think of that belongs to a picnic. There will be LIVE MUSIC and GAMES for children. Pray for good weather so we can have things outside. This will be loads of fun, and you don’t want to miss it! Tell your neighbors and friends! Sign-up on the Fellowship bulletin board located near Fellowship Hall. You can call the church office, and we’ll add you to the list. Don’t forget the sunscreen or your lawn chair.
Worship services are available for your viewing @ calabash.church
If you would like private prayer today, we will be in the prayer room after the service.
