STREETREACH 2024 IMPACT

STREETREACH is one of CCPC’s valued local mission partners, led by Donna and Garry

Phelps, tirelessly serving the vulnerable homeless in Brunswick County. Our partnership

helps expand outreach, share the gospel, bringing help and hope to people in need.

In an average month, STREETREACH provides direct assistance to about 35 plus at-risk

individuals or families to help keep them from becoming homeless. STREETREACH

provides about 3-10 nights of emergency shelter to individuals and families who are

homeless, as funds allow. Because Brunswick County has no general permanent

emergency shelter, many are housed in motels, campers or referred to long-term shelters

in surrounding counties. In 2024, STREETREACH received a total of 2874 calls (for

various resources) through our (910) 842-2711 (24 hour / 7 days a week) information and

assistance line.

They assisted 24 clients with utility assistance, 5 clients with rent to prevent evictions,

265 individuals with emergency shelter, and referred or placed 10 in recovery centers, Bus

tickets were purchased for 3 to return to family.
