Job Purpose: Lead the Music Ministry of Calabash Covenant Presbyterian Church

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Coordinate and plan all musical activities for worship in conjunction with the Pastor.
- Demonstrate musical abilities with an emphasis on piano. An organ is also available.
- Ability to read music.
- Provide administrative assistant with music selections for the weekly church bulletin.
- Schedule and conduct choir rehearsals.
- Attend meetings to support the Church music program.
- Arrange for and coordinate music for funerals, memorial services, special
occasions and other Church activities.
- Coordinate music in support of beach services during the summer months and Easter
- Oversee maintenance of the Church music library and purchase music as
needed.
- Ensure maintenance of musical instruments in consultation with the Worship
Ministry Team
- Arrange for musical coverage in case of absence.
- Direct the choir during Worship and conduct/supervise musical groups during Worship and other special church gatherings. Supervise staff accompanists and coordinate volunteers.
- Work with children music programs as required.
- Vacation time is provided.
Work schedule: Part-time, up to 15-20 hours per week
Performance Evaluations:
- Performance evaluation will be conducted annually by the Senior Pastor/Head of Staff.
- Annual Compensation recommendation will be made by Personnel and
Administration Ministry Team.
