Leader: Let us allow Revelation 7:9-12 to call us to worship this morning.
“After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could
number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages,
standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white
robes, with palm branches in their hands, and crying out with a loud
voice
People: Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the
Lamb!
Leader: And all the angels were standing around the throne and around the
elders and the four living creatures, and they fell on their faces before
the throne and worshiped God, saying,
ALL: “Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor
and power and might be to our God forever and ever! Amen.”

PRAYER OF CONFESSION
Our Lord Jesus said, “’You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with
all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the greatest and first commandment.
And a second is like it, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ On these two
hang all the law and the prophets.” As God has instructed us in these great
commandments, and because we have not lived in full obedience, let us now
confess our sins to God, trusting Christ as our Savior and Lord.

You are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, … God’s special possession.” Welcome
to worship, where we are invited to “declare the praises of him who called [us] out
of darkness into his wonderful light” (1 Peter 2:9, NIV).
Today is Food Pantry Collection Sunday. Every third Sunday of the Month, we
receive special offerings for the Local Food Pantries
CHATTERS
(Widows Support Group) will meet in Sunset Beach Park on Monday, October 21st at
noon. Just bring a chair, your favorite brown bag lunch and drink. For

CROP HUNGER WALK – CROP Hunger Walk – What are you doing Sunday, November 3rd? Come walk with us in the CROP Hunger Walk to raise funds to fight hunger in our community and around the world. We’ll start and end at Mulberry Park in Shallotte. Registration starts at 1:00 p.m. and the Walk starts at 1:30 p.m. See Cyndi Shaw today in the vestibule for more information and to get your Walker envelope, make a donation or to sponsor the walk. All walkers, and volunteers, will receive a special CROP t-shirt. Stop by the information table in the vestibule after this service to Cyndi know what size you need if
you’re planning to walk!
NURSERY NEWS. All children are welcome in our worship services. We offer a staffed nursery during the 9:30am Worship Service and during Sunday School. Our nursery serves infants though age 6.

FALL 2024 PEW PRAYER CARDS
Please note the green CCPC prayer cards in the pockets of your pews. These cards note several needs of our church for which we should pray for and about through the remainder of this year. Please take one and choose one or two items to pray over each week asking for the Lord’s guidance and blessings.
*Wednesday, October 23rd is Trunk or Treat at Sunset Beach Park. Set-up by 4:30, kids from 5:00-6:30 pm. We need to set up a Canopy or table that’s decorated along the “trail” (sidewalk) in the park, and people to pass out candy. Please email Beth at dbdecima@gmail.com to volunteer for Trunk or Treat.
PRAYER PERSON OF THE WEEK – PAULA LOOMIS
My husband and I went to the beach service for over 10 years and loved it. We decided to go try and see what the early service was like when Pastor Jack was here. We felt right at home! Then my husband passed away 4 years ago, and I joined the church several months later with encouragement from Ann Thomas who was a ‘new neighbor’ to me. Right now, I am unable to attend church in person because of health reasons, but I stream every Sunday and love the services.
